Abstract: Cyclin-dependent kinases (CDKs) are key regulators of the cell cycle and their activities are consequently tightly regulated. Recent developments in the field of CDK regulation have included the discovery and characterization of CDK inhibitors. These developments have had an impact on our understanding of how other signalling pathways may be linked to the cell cycle machinery.
